We work closely with our clients to meet their specific needs for architectural, design, sculpture and bespoke projects.
We are able to develop projects from the drawing board right through to completion, or act as a manufacturer of custom designs.

Stonecast primarily works in two materials.Â
FX Stone is a specially formulated material that we developed. It looks and acts exactly like concrete but with added benefits. It has the structural integrity and strength of concrete, but has added thermal integrity and is a fraction of its weight.
Concrete is a material that humans have been using to build with for centuries. Stonecast joins this long tradition by utilising a special high-performance concrete formulation of binders and aggregate to best suit the application of our products.
Because we specialize in precast concrete work, we have the advantage of working in a controlled environment and ensuring that proper quality control is possible. We work with fit to task moulds and high quality materials to ensure a high quality finish on all our products. All our products are available in a number of colours and finishes. It should be noted that environmental factors can affect colouration of our products.Â
We are also able to work in terrazzo. Our terrazzo aggregates are made up according to the aesthetic sensibilities of our clients.Â
There is a certain ‘weight’ to Stonecast concrete products. Each concrete piece is heavy and this gives out designs permanence and elegance in environments that may cause weathering over time. Alternatively, FX stone allows us to keep the look of concrete at a much lower weight.Â
Please note that products made from these materials are expensive as manufacturing requires artisanal skills and expensive raw materials.Â
All Stonecast pieces are made to order and are made by hand.
Our consultation process usually starts via email, or you can visit us at our showroom, after which we will send you a quote on the required work and products.
Production will start after the order has been confirmed and a deposit is received.
Please allow for a general lead time of 3-4 weeks for production, however on large or more specialized projects this timeline may change, and this information is duly communicated. Goods will be ready for delivery within the lead times specified, and final payment is due on delivery.
Due to the made-to-order nature of our products, we are not able to accept exchanges or returns.
At Stonecast we strive to consistently produce high quality products. On the rare occasion that there are issues with manufacturing, we pride ourselves in our after-sales service.
Stonecast is a leader in high quality bespoke concrete manufacturing and design.
The business was founded in 1998 by Martine Laporta and Mario Graziani who both bring years of experience to the field of precast concrete. Martine (BA Hons Sculpture) is an experienced designer, mould maker and restorer, and Mario has over 30 years of experience in specialised concrete casting. Together, they have a profound knowledge of their chosen material and its possibilities. Â
Today, Stonecast is run by business partners Martine and Mario and their son-in-law Ross Veldsman, with the help of a phenomenal team.
