The design and production of Wallskinz was undertaken in collaboration with Cape Brick (Pty) Ltd. We produced a variety of designs that offer an alternative to the much used ‘dry stone wall’ cladding. The idea is that the pattern transgresses across the tiles’ borders and in this way distracts the eye from the modular construction of the facade. The “tiles” are 20mm thick and are therefore light enough to handle when installing. Standard cemenet tile adhesives are used to apply the wall skins to the plastered wall. Wallskinz can be used as a feature wall both internally and externally . They can also be painted if required but usually the Natural cut-sandstone or raw concrete finishes are most desirable.
